Project Go Green: A Sustainable Initiative by Sharan Foundation
About Us:
At Sharan Foundation, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment through our flagship project, Go Green. Since September 2020, we have been actively involved in large-scale plantation drives aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and biodiversity conservation.
Our Mission:
Our mission is simple yet profound: to combat climate change, enhance green cover, and foster a greener, healthier future for generations to come. Through strategic partnerships and community engagement, we strive to create resilient ecosystems that can withstand environmental challenges.
What We Do:
Project Go Green focuses on extensive plantation activities in various locations, including Moga, Mansa, and Fatehabad districts. Our approach goes beyond just planting trees; we cultivate medicinal and indigenous species to promote biodiversity and address local health needs.
Our Achievements:
- Over 110,000 trees planted in Moga District, rejuvenating rural villages and urban areas alike.
- 25,000 trees planted in Mansa District, contributing to the preservation of natural habitats and sustainable livelihoods.
- 65,000 trees planted in Fatehabad District, aligning with environmental conservation goals and creating resilient ecosystems.
Why It Matters:
We believe that every tree planted is a step towards a greener, healthier planet. By enhancing green cover, we can mitigate the impact of deforestation, urbanization, and climate change while improving air quality and promoting biodiversity.
